Rapper Plies took to Twitter to weigh in on the growing unrest in California, where widespread protests have erupted in response to immigration enforcement operations. With President Donald Trump currently in office, his administration recently authorized a series of ICE raids across several California cities—prompting massive backlash from immigrant rights groups and local communities.

The situation escalated further when Trump ordered the deployment of the National Guard to support federal agencies on the ground, against the wishes of California’s Governor Gavin Newsom and LA’s Mayor Karen Bass,

Plies, never one to shy away from political commentary, shared his candid thoughts on social media. He began with a blunt post that read, “Play Stupid Games & Win Stupid Prizes!!!!” before directly addressing the Latino and Hispanic communities.

“Dear Latino/Hispanic Community: Many Thought Voting [For] Him Was Going To Get U Acceptance Or Monetary Gain. U Either Overlooked The EVIL Agenda Or Believed The Lies,” Plies tweeted. “& Left A Lot Of Your Own People Out To Dry! No One Deserves EVIL Treatment. But Elections Do Have Consequences!”

Plies continued his critique by highlighting what he sees as political theater orchestrated by Trump:

“California Gave Him Exactly What He Was Hoping For!! An Opportunity To Create The Theater/Footage His Base Was Feening For & The Antics He Loves. Now He Gets To Control The News Cycle For The Next Couple Weeks. While He Gets His Big Beautiful Bill Thru & Cool Things With X Owner!”
