GloRilla just released the official music video for her hit single “Typa,” which samples Keyshia Cole’s early 2000s classic “Love.” The visual not only brings the sultry energy of the track to life but also features NFL star Xavier Legette of the Carolina Panthers as GloRilla’s love interest.
The two turn up the heat in the video, with Big Glo donning lingerie as she cozies up to Legette in intimate bedroom scenes. At one point, Legette leans in for a kiss while GloRilla raps about wanting “A trappin'-a*, dark-skinned country-a** / Got it out the mud, 6'1", ol' thug-a**.”*
Keyshia Cole also makes a heartfelt cameo, appearing in a scene where she and GloRilla reflect on love and vulnerability.
GloRilla asks, “So, Keyshia, have you ever been with somebody that makes you want to be a better version of yourself, but you’re scared to show them the worst parts of yourself?”
Cole responds, “If you don’t show them who you really are, how will you know if they truly love you?”
To which GloRilla admits, “I’m scared if I tell him, what if he just ups and dip?”
Keyshia offers a dose of wisdom in reply: “If he dips, he ain’t meant to stay… Love is a grown-man business.”
The video’s male lead, Xavier Legette, has recently gone viral for more than just his athleticism. Fans have been captivated by his thick South Carolina accent and colorful commentary about his Southern upbringing. In past interviews, Legette made headlines after sharing that he grew up eating raccoon and avoids vegetables.
“I don't eat the bell peppers and all that extra stuff like that … That stuff is too exotic,” he said. “The [raccoon] is regular to me. I've been eating that since I came out.”
With the release of “Typa,” GloRilla blends music, culture, and conversation in a way that keeps fans coming back for more—proving once again that she’s not just making bangers, she’s telling stories.
