On Wednesday (June 4), rapper and YouTuber DDG filed an emergency motion in court seeking to prevent actress and singer Halle Bailey from traveling internationally with their son, Halo.
In the legal documents, DDG alleged that Halle poses an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to their child. He cited a disturbing incident from August 2023, claiming Halle took his legally owned firearm without permission during a heated argument and allegedly threatened self-harm in a series of text messages included in his filing.
“During a particularly volatile argument, [Halle] became enraged and threatened to end her life using my legally owned firearm,” DDG wrote in a declaration attached to the filing. “Without my consent, she took the weapon and left the house.” He also stated that the episode created an unsafe and emotionally distressing environment for their child.
Despite the serious nature of the claims, the court ultimately denied DDG’s emergency request.
This latest development follows Halle being granted a temporary restraining order against DDG in May. In her own court filings, she shared graphic images of injuries she alleges were caused by him, including visible bruising and a busted lip.
The legal battle between the two continues to unfold publicly as both parties seek custody agreements and protection orders while making serious accusations against one another.
