Keyshia Cole recently joined Way Up with Angela Yee for an in-depth interview that took a surprising turn when co-host Maino came face-to-face with her to revisit their past beef.
Maino initially tiptoed around the controversial lyrics that sparked their feud years ago. However, Keyshia didn’t hold back. She bluntly reminded him of the exact line: “On the dance floor finger banging Keyshia Cole.” Maino appeared shocked that she remembered the lyric, but Keyshia quickly shut it down, saying, “But I never knew you!”
Maino then recalled hearing rumors over the years that Keyshia had been looking for him. One night, while they were both at the same club, he said he felt something hit him in the head—only to realize Keyshia had been throwing lemons at him. Later that night, she confronted him in person about the disrespectful line.
As the conversation unfolded, Keyshia revealed a previously unknown detail: her falling out with Lil' Kim was connected to the situation with Maino. According to Keyshia, Lil' Kim “loved” Maino and couldn’t understand why anyone would take offense to someone fantasizing about them in a song.
