Keyshia Cole recently sat down with The Breakfast Club, where she opened up about her current relationship status and addressed lingering feelings for rapper Hunxho, with whom she was romantically linked earlier this year.
When asked about where she stands now, the R&B singer revealed she’s not dating anyone. “Am I ready to move on? No. I still got the tattoo here,” she said, pointing to the tattoo of Hunxho's name.
Co-host Loren Lorosa followed up by asking whether Cole was hoping to rekindle things with the "By Tomorrow" rapper. Cole didn’t directly confirm or deny, but made it clear that she’s focusing on herself for the time being. “Well, I’m not dating, so it’s not like I’m sitting across from a new dude with [Hunxho's name] on my chest,” she explained. “I guess I’ve just got too much work to do right now.”
She continued, “I’m not in a rush to get no tattoo covered up. I’m not in a rush to date right now. I just want to appreciate the moment for what it is.”
In a separate interview with Hot 97, Cole was asked if she would ever date someone who still had a tattoo of their ex. Her answer was clear: “That’s just weird energy. It’s unresolved.”
The comment raised eyebrows, as fans noted the irony — Cole herself is still wearing her own tattoo tribute to a former flame. Still, the singer appears to be self-aware and taking time to reflect on love, growth, and emotional closure at her own pace.
