Rapper Fivio Foreign has remained in custody since his arrest in January, following allegations that he pointed a gun at a woman who had asked for help jumpstarting her car on New Year’s Eve in New Jersey.
According to authorities, the Brooklyn drill artist—born Maxie Ryles III—has pleaded guilty to making terroristic threats and threatening to commit violence. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors are expected to drop more serious charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated assault.
Fivio is reportedly hoping for a probation sentence when he appears in court this August, rather than additional jail time.
The incident that led to his arrest was detailed in a police report, which states that Fivio threatened the woman, saying, “If I see you parked in front of this building again, there is going to be a f***ing problem.”
Surveillance footage and witness statements allegedly corroborated the woman’s account, leading to his arrest.
Fivio has not yet made a public statement regarding the plea deal or the upcoming sentencing.
