Comedian Druski dropped a new skit on Instagram over the weekend that’s stirring up laughs—and conversation. In the viral video, Druski dons white makeup to portray "Preston," a white guy who’s fully embraced by his predominantly Black friend group.
The skit follows Preston as he hangs out with his friends, spends time with his girlfriend, and reacts nervously to nearby police officers. The punchline hits when he returns home to his white, suburban parents. As soon as Preston starts speaking in slang, his parents scold him, telling him to "stop talking like that," highlighting the contrast between his two worlds.
The video has racked up nearly 1.5 million views and sparked plenty of discussion online—not just for its humor, but also for its use of whiteface. Some social media users questioned whether the makeup and portrayal crossed a line.
As for Druski, his fans largely embraced the skit as a clever social commentary on identity, code-switching, and cultural belonging.
