Part 2: Mia Santoro on Home Invasion Robbery Involving Tay-K That Left 1 Man Dead & 1 Man Shot

--------

Mia Santoro opens up about the tumultuous path that led her to become an unnamed juvenile codefendant in the infamous 2016 case involving rapper Tay-K, where a home invasion turned fatal. Mia's story begins in Fort Worth, Texas, moving to Arlington with her Italian family. Despite a seemingly normal childhood with a loving yet strict household, underlying issues emerged. Her parents, both bartenders, struggled with alcoholism, leaving Mia and her siblings often unattended. This lack of supervision became pronounced as her brother Vinny fell into opioid addiction after a football injury, drawing family focus away from Mia.

By age 12, feeling isolated, Mia was absorbed into a crowd that embraced her older brother’s lifestyle, exposing her to substances and risky behavior. It was through these associations that she met Arianna, a 17-year-old influence who introduced her to the underworld lifestyle. This downward spiral of peer pressure and seeking acceptance in a chaotic environment eventually led her to be involved in criminal activities, culminating in the notorious robbery case.
