DJ Akademiks revealed that his home was raided by a SWAT team during a recent livestream—an alarming incident he says was the result of a dangerous prank known as "swatting."

The media personality took to social media to share details of the encounter, posting security footage that captured the moment officers arrived at his residence. In the video, Akademiks is seen answering the door before quickly throwing his hands in the air in compliance. Officers instructed him to keep his hands raised as they secured the scene.

“Y’all trolls swatting ain’t cool,” Akademiks wrote in the caption. “Had my whole police department pointing 15 ARs at me today. Just watch the stream and have fun. Don’t try to get me clapped! Salute to my police dept tho. Absolute professionals.”

According to Akademiks, the police were responding to a false emergency call made by someone claiming to be his sister. Once authorities realized the report was a hoax, they removed his handcuffs and confirmed that no actual threat was present.

The incident adds to a growing number of swatting cases targeting public figures and content creators. Akademiks later issued a warning to anyone considering pulling a similar stunt.

“Swatting isn’t cool,” he said. “That’s how Young Scooter died.”
