Rapper Kid Cudi is expected to take the stand this week in Sean "Diddy" Combs' high-profile federal sex trafficking trial, according to Complex.

His testimony follows emotional courtroom statements from Cassie’s mother, Regina Ventura, who detailed a disturbing series of events involving the music mogul. Ventura testified that Diddy once demanded $20,000 from her after learning that Cassie had briefly dated Kid Cudi during a break in their relationship. She claimed she took out a home equity loan from her credit union to pay the amount — money Diddy later returned.

Ventura also recounted reading a troubling text from Cassie around that time, in which Cassie claimed Diddy was threatening to release “two explicit sex tapes of her” as retaliation for her connection with Cudi.

Additionally, Ventura testified that Diddy sent an email in which he allegedly stated he would have someone physically harm both her and Kid Cudi. “I was physically sick after reading it,” Ventura told the court. “I knew he was trying to hurt my daughter.”

Cudi’s testimony is expected to shed further light on the nature of his involvement with Cassie and any alleged threats made against him.
