Bill Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old Jordan Hudson continues to draw public interest—and now, a new report from The New York Times suggests the pair may be headed down the aisle.
According to the outlet, Hudson has told "at least one person" that she is engaged to the 73-year-old former Patriots head coach. The news comes in the wake of criticism following her unexpected interruption during Belichick’s recent CBS Sunday Morning interview.
When Belichick was asked about how the couple met, Hudson cut in before he could answer, declaring, “We’re not talking about that!”—a move that raised eyebrows among viewers and reportedly among some within Belichick’s own inner circle.
Hudson had previously shared that she and Belichick met on a flight, where he signed her book on philosophy—a story that has since circulated widely online.
The CBS interview also appeared to cause friction within the Belichick family. Jennifer Belichick, wife of Bill’s son Stephen and a fellow member of his North Carolina coaching team, publicly voiced her disapproval. In response to a post by former Patriots star Julian Edelman defending Hudson’s actions as standard PR behavior, Jennifer replied, “Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set, delaying an interview.”
Belichick, however, had kind words for Hudson in a separate interview with Good Morning America, stating, “She’s been terrific, you know. Through the whole process, and she’s been very helpful to me. She handles the business things that don’t relate to North Carolina that come up in my life, so I can concentrate on football. And that’s really what I want to do.”
As speculation around their engagement grows, neither Belichick nor Hudson has officially confirmed the news.
