Megan Thee Stallion is speaking out in response to new allegations suggesting Tory Lanez was wrongly convicted in the 2020 shooting that left her injured.
A legal advocacy group called United the People recently held a press conference claiming that a bodyguard for Megan’s former friend, Kelsey Nicole, stated Kelsey admitted to firing the shots that injured Megan.
Attorney Walter Roberts, representing the group, alleged, "Harris fired at [Megan] three times. Mr. Peterson grabbed her arm and knocked it down, and the gun fired two more times. In essence, Mr. Peterson never shot anybody. Never even touched them. He never fired the gun.” Roberts went on to say that this version of events aligns with the testimony of independent witness Sean Kelly, who stated during trial that he saw “two women fighting.”
Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, responded to the claims in a statement to XXL:
"Tory Lanez was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers, and his case was properly adjudicated through the court system. This is not a political matter — this is a case of a violent assault that was resolved in a court of law.”
As the case reenters public discussion, Megan took to social media to issue a passionate response. She strongly refuted the renewed narrative and reiterated that Tory Lanez was responsible for the shooting.
"One minute him/y’all said I was never shot, now y’all letting him play in y’all face AGAIN and say I was shot but it wasn’t him? Oh okay…?! I’m sick of this s***. LEAVE ME TF ALONE!!!! HE AIN’T DARE GET ON THAT STAND AND DENY HE SHOT ME AND THAT WAS HIS CHOICE BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE DID THAT S***! IDGAF ABOUT A BLOG OR A BOT!!! WHY IN TF WOULD ME... MEGAN THEE STALLION... HAVE TO LIE ON THIS MF ABOUT SHOOTING ME?"
She added, “FACTS ARE FACTS. He did it. It was PROVEN IN COURT. F*** the hate campaign on the internet. TORY YOU SHOT ME!! Ain’t no new fing evidence. Y’all been saying the same s*** for years.”
Megan concluded her statements by urging Lanez to leave her alone for good, calling him a “demon.”
