Kerry Morgan, once the best friend of singer Cassie Ventura, took the stand in Diddy's ongoing federal trial and delivered chilling testimony about an alleged assault by the music mogul in 2018.

According to Morgan, the incident took place at Cassie’s home in the Hollywood Hills.

“Cassie and I were listening to her music. She got up to go to the bathroom,” Morgan recalled. “He came in — I guess he had a key, and she didn’t know. I was in the living room, and he came up from behind me and choked me. When I got up, he boomeranged a hanger at my head.”

Morgan testified that the coat hanger — a wooden one — struck her behind the right ear. She said she was left with visible “finger marks on [her] neck,” and sustained a concussion from the impact. “I vomited and felt dizzy afterward,” she added.

She claimed the attack stemmed from Diddy’s accusations that Cassie was cheating on him. “He kept asking me who she was cheating with,” Morgan said, but insisted she had no idea. “I just kept thinking, ‘He’s going crazy. He’s lost it.'”

Morgan testified that she contacted a lawyer and initially planned to sue Diddy. The matter was settled out of court for $30,000.

She also recounted a tense follow-up meeting with Cassie after the attack. According to Morgan, Cassie asked her to meet at a pizza place and requested she sign a non-disclosure agreement. “She told me she thought I was milking it and over-exaggerating,” Morgan said. The two never spoke again after that meeting, ending their long-standing friendship.

Morgan’s testimony didn’t stop there. She also recalled being at Cassie’s home on a separate occasion — after the now-infamous incident at the InterContinental Hotel in 2016, where Diddy was allegedly captured on CCTV assaulting Cassie. Morgan described Cassie returning home looking “numb” and emotionally disconnected.

“He was beating on the door with a hammer, trying to get in,” Morgan said. “I don’t think she cared if he came in and killed her.”
