Rapper and YouTuber DDG is under fire this week following reports that his ex-girlfriend, singer and actress Halle Bailey, has obtained a restraining order against him. According to court documents, Bailey alleges that DDG physically abused her and threatened to take their son.
In the wake of the allegations, rapper Soulja Boy took to social media to publicly threaten DDG. In a now-viral post, he wrote, "You a b*** a** n**** for putting yo hands on Halle lil na @PontiacMadeDDG. If I catch you, I'm beating the f*** out you."*
DDG quickly responded on X (formerly Twitter), mocking Soulja Boy and his recent music. Taking aim at Soulja’s new single “Street Rich”, DDG posted, "Lil bro got 15k in 13 hours. Y’all go support LMFAO."
He continued the roast by sharing a close-up photo of Soulja Boy’s teeth with the caption:
"First to guess who heroin teeth this is gets $20 CashApp! GO."
Not stopping there, DDG launched a fake GoFundMe campaign that appeared to mock Soulja Boy’s reported $4 million sexual assault judgment. The satirical fundraiser featured a crude and exaggerated description targeting Soulja’s finances, parenting, and career, reading in part:
"Hello, my name is DeAndre aka Soulja Boy. I recently sexually assaulted my assistant & was ordered to pay $4 million. I’m poor, my teeth stink, and I’m only doing 500-cap rooms as a legacy act... I have a son I don’t take care of and all my jewelry is fake so I can’t sell it..."
The ongoing back-and-forth has only intensified the public spotlight on DDG amid the serious allegations from Bailey. As of now, neither DDG nor Soulja Boy has issued an official statement beyond their social media activity.
