Snoop Dogg isn’t holding back on his new album Iz It a Crime? — especially on the fiery track “ShutYoB**hAsUp,” where he directly disses former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight.

On the track, Snoop unleashes a scathing verse: “I can see why you mad / I bought everything you own / Now you in PC snitchin’ on the phone...It’s a time and a place (Yeah, it is) / Cause I really ain’t got one rhyme to waste /But I can slap the taste out your muthaf***in’ mouth / Pull up on your n****, make you wanna reroute...Oh b***-a** n****, I’m a rich-a** n**** / Waiting for you to get home so we can get the s*** on..."

Snoop goes even further, calling out Suge’s alleged fall from power: “You need some money on your books like a couple of racks / I heard you hit your homeboy but he ain’t hittin’ you back / ’Cause you a rat.”

The relationship between Snoop Dogg and Suge Knight has been tumultuous for decades, dating back to their days at Death Row Records in the '90s. While tension between the two has simmered publicly and privately over the years, Snoop explained what pushed him to speak out now during an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood.

“It gets to a point... I’m from the hood,” Snoop said. “You can’t keep throwing rocks at me and bullying me and think I ain’t gon’ say nothing or do nothing. I can’t do nothing — ’cause you in PC. But I can say something.”

With Iz It a Crime?, Snoop makes it clear he’s not afraid to confront his past — and those who played a part in it — head-on.
