Pastor Jamal Bryant recently made headlines after his appearance on The Gauds Show podcast, where he reflected on his alleged early connections with the late rap icon 2Pac.

"I grew up with 2Pac in Baltimore. He went to the Baltimore School for the Arts. Then came to Atlanta. I went to Morehouse, he went to Clark [Atlanta University]. We were at homecoming together. Digital Underground performed. He volunteered as a roadie, dropped out, and moved to California. That’s how he got in the game," Bryant recalled.

However, his claims—particularly the part about 2Pac attending Clark—raised eyebrows among fans and hip-hop historians. Jeff Pearlman, author of the upcoming biography Only God Can Judge Me, was quick to refute the story.

"None of that happened. Tupac never went to Clark. He didn’t even graduate high school," Pearlman stated. "People want a piece of Pac’s legacy, but his real story’s enough."

As of now, Bryant has not responded to Pearlman's comments. The debate adds yet another layer to the ongoing fascination with 2Pac's life and legacy, which continues to spark conversation decades after his passing.
