Shannon Sharpe’s former stylist, Russell “Hollywood” Simpson—also known as Hollywood Mugler—has stirred controversy with a cryptic comment amid the NFL Hall of Famer’s ongoing $50 million civil lawsuit.
On Thursday (May 1), Hollywood posted a throwback photo of Sharpe surrounded by scantily clad women, writing in the caption: “See, when I was around, you never heard a single word! I had everything so organized!” The comment quickly caught fire on social media, with users speculating about what, exactly, Hollywood may have been "organizing." Many questioned whether the stylist was implying he helped conceal certain aspects of Sharpe’s personal life.
The timing of Hollywood’s post raised eyebrows, as Sharpe continues to face public scrutiny over a civil lawsuit in which he is accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old OnlyFans creator during a two-year relationship. Sharpe has denied the allegations, insisting the relationship was consensual. In an effort to defend himself, he released text messages that he claims support his account of mutual consent.
Despite Sharpe’s statements, the unnamed woman—referred to as Jane Doe—has accused him of repeated acts of violence and threats throughout their relationship, according to her attorney.
As of now, Sharpe has not publicly addressed Hollywood’s suggestive remarks.
