Misa Hilton is breaking her silence following reports that she’s suing longtime friend Mary J. Blige for $5 million, alleging the singer interfered in a business relationship and breached a contract involving rapper Vado.

Speaking to The Breakfast Club’s Loren Larosa, Hilton addressed public skepticism over the $5 million figure. She explained that Vado worked as a ghostwriter on several of Mary’s projects, including her song “Still Believe in Love,” which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the charts. Hilton described Vado as a highly skilled ghostwriter and producer, underscoring his value in the industry.

Hilton clarified that the lawsuit isn’t about a personal falling-out over Vado. Instead, she claims Mary interfered with Vado’s professional contract, which led to the legal action. Although the two women stopped speaking about a year ago, Hilton admitted she’s still unsure what caused the breakdown in their friendship.

Comedian Jess Hilarious previously mentioned seeing both women appear on a panel together last year. Hilton responded by noting that while they were onstage together, Mary was not speaking to her at the time.
