Lil Keke recounted his tumultuous past, elaborating on evading law enforcement for a decade only to serve a brief three-month sentence. Initially granted probation for a narcotics charge, he violated the conditions, choosing to flee when presented with an eight-year sentence by the Texas Department of Corrections. On appeal, Lil Keke seized the opportunity to go underground, living under a fake identity from 1996 to 2006. During this period, he led a low-profile lifestyle, focusing on his music career while steering clear of the public eye. His ten-year run came to an unexpected halt after a minor charge exposed his true identity. Despite the hefty $100,000 ordeal to secure his release, with support from Swishahouse, Lil Keke admitted, "It was worth it," as it salvaged his burgeoning music career. Reflecting, he expressed gratitude, acknowledging it as a transformative period that shaped his present-day ethos.
