The tension between Cam'ron and Kanye West continues to escalate after Kanye responded to Cam's claim that he and R. Kelly had left "a stain" on Chicago's reputation.

Cam'ron initially addressed the situation during a conversation where he said:
"I'm not saying nothing bad about the city of Chicago, but two of the biggest superstars ever — it's some molestation, nasty, peeing on bhes. It's a lot of s going on with two of the biggest superstars. [...] Not just from Chicago, ever in music history, where some personal nasty s*** going on. [...] Y'all putting a stain on a good city, man. Y'all need to cut the s***, baby."

Kanye quickly fired back on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
"How Cam say I’m doing anything bad for Chicago? Chicago loves me. I love Cam. It’s ns like you that had me shook to release the song, but I ain’t scared of y’all ns. And thank you for making Dipset. You’re a God. And f you by the way. And I got on my 2 million dollar Dipset belt as I tweet."*

In response, Cam'ron addressed Kanye on his show It Is What It Is, saying:
"Yeah, that’s why I’m talking to you, because I don’t usually talk to ns who suck d. Once they suck d***, I don’t go back. I don’t wanna go back and forth once you admit you suck d***. That’s just me."*

Cam'ron and his co-host Ma$e couldn't contain their laughter during the segment, with Ma$e joking that he wanted to fly out to California to stage an intervention for Kanye. Ultimately, Cam'ron said he would leave Kanye alone — at least for now.
