Detroit rapper Sada Baby, whose real name is Casada Sorrell, was arraigned on Wednesday (April 9) following his arrest a day earlier on an outstanding drug charge warrant.

Sorrell was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance—specifically narcotics or cocaine in an amount less than 25 grams. He was held overnight in jail and released the next day after posting a $5,000 personal bond.

As part of his release conditions, the rapper is prohibited from using or possessing any controlled substances.

Sada Baby’s mugshot quickly went viral across social media thanks to his wide, unapologetic grin. Never one to shy away from the spotlight, he doubled down on the moment after his release—posting a photo in the same shirt with the same signature smile. His caption read: “I’m out, #AGAIN 🦍❤️‍🩹”
