Boosie is addressing the controversy surrounding his annual "Boosie Bash" after Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill threatened legal action over his use of the name of slain Southern University student Caleb Wilson.
Wilson tragically lost his life due to a hazing incident at the college, and Boosie had planned to honor his memory by creating a $10,000 scholarship in his name. However, the Louisiana Attorney General claims Wilson’s family was not consulted.
"Caleb Wilson’s parents have advised me that they have not given consent and know nothing about their son’s name and image being used to promote this event," Murrill reportedly stated.
Boosie, visibly frustrated by the situation, previously expressed disappointment and is now reconsidering hosting Boosie Bash in Louisiana.
During a recent Instagram Live session, he shared his thoughts on potentially moving the event elsewhere:
"These people f***ing with me in Louisiana. That’s why I moved from down there, bruh. It might be the last of Boosie Bash. It might be the last; I’m thinking about taking Boosie Bash on the road."
As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen whether Boosie Bash will find a new home outside Louisiana or if an agreement can be reached regarding the scholarship controversy.
