Eugene "Big U" Henley Jr., former manager of Nipsey Hussle and a high-ranking member of the Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips, has been indicted in a federal RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) case. The 58-year-old faces charges of conspiracy to violate the RICO Act, along with rappers Bricc Baby and Luce Cannon.

According to the indictment, Big U is identified as the leader of the Rollin' 60s and is accused of human trafficking, extortion, and murder. Federal prosecutors allege that in 2021, Henley orchestrated the killing of an aspiring Las Vegas rapper who had released a diss track aimed at him. Authorities claim Henley, accompanied by co-defendant Sylvester "Vey" Robinson, drove to North Las Vegas, shot the rapper in the head, and disposed of the body in a desert ditch off Interstate 15.

During a press conference, Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph McNally stated, "The allegations in the complaint unsealed today reveal a criminal enterprise that engaged in murder, extortion, human trafficking, and fraud – all led by a supposed anti-gang activist and purported music entrepreneur who was nothing more than a violent street criminal."

In addition to violent crimes, Henley is also accused of financial fraud. Prosecutors allege that he submitted a fraudulent application for a COVID-19 relief loan and embezzled funds from nonprofit organizations. Authorities claim he misused charitable donations intended for anti-gang initiatives, diverting the money into his personal bank account.

Special Agent in Charge Tyler Hatcher of the IRS Criminal Investigation’s Los Angeles field office commented on the case, stating, "The RICO charges against Mr. Henley and his associates reflect a pattern of crimes that runs the gamut from extortion to tax evasion, all under the umbrella of a well-organized criminal organization led by Mr. Henley. Additionally, Mr. Henley allegedly duped the County of Los Angeles by running a charitable organization that promoted anti-gang solutions while continuing criminal activity that was directly contrary to his charity."

After authorities announced they were searching for him, Big U turned himself in and has since denied all allegations against him.
