Shamon Jones, the mother of R’Mani, daughter of slain Texas rapper G$ Lil Ronnie, is facing backlash after flashing stacks of cash during a balloon release held in her child’s honor.

Jones hosted a block party-style memorial for R’Mani, where she was seen dancing and holding the cash to her ear—behavior that quickly drew criticism on social media. Many users slammed her actions as inappropriate for the somber occasion.

Adding to the controversy, some speculate that Jones may have used part of the $53,000 raised on GoFundMe—intended for funeral expenses—to purchase the Louis Vuitton bag she was seen carrying in the video.

The event also featured a masked security guard armed with a semi-automatic assault rifle, a presence that some found unsettling. However, others defended the decision, citing the violent circumstances surrounding the deaths of R’Mani and G$ Lil Ronnie.

While Jones has not directly addressed the criticism, the viral video has reignited debate over how the GoFundMe funds are being used.
