During a recent live stream, DJ Akademiks shared exclusive details about Playboi Carti’s upcoming album, I Am Music, and dropped a major bombshell—Kendrick Lamar is reportedly gearing up to release a new diss track aimed at Drake.
Akademiks told viewers that Kendrick is "talking his s** again,"* implying that another round in the ongoing feud between Kendrick and Drake could be on the way. Fans speculated that Ak might have also been referencing Kendrick when he tweeted:
"He got another feature that gon f*** s*** up… it’s too fye for me to even announce. Just remember it’s stamped when you hear ‘CARTI MY EVIL TWIN.’"*
Beyond the potential rap beef, Akademiks also revealed that Playboi Carti personally called him and played the entire album, which he described as an instant "classic." He confirmed that I Am Music will feature heavyweights like Future, Lil Uzi Vert, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott.
