Former NFL star Le’Veon Bell addressed the recent $25 million default judgment against him in a live stream, following allegations that he sexually abused his cousin, Jada Bell, for years.

Jada filed a lawsuit in March 2024, claiming that Le’Veon and his brother, La’Vonte Bell, abused her from the age of 6 to 18. A jury ultimately awarded $20 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages to Jada. La’Vonte Bell was also found liable in the case and was ordered to pay more than $11 million in damages.

Bell’s attorney, Thomas W. Shaffer, has strongly denied the allegations, telling TMZ, “My client adamantly denies any and all allegations.” He also argued that Bell was never properly served the lawsuit, which he claims was a violation of his Fifth Amendment right to due process.

“The default judgment granted was based upon violations of his Fifth Amendment rights of due process for failing to be served,” Shaffer stated.

In an hour-long live stream, Bell defended himself, claiming that his fallout with Jada began when he stopped financially supporting her. According to Bell, Jada allegedly sent him a text that read, "We're gonna see who the bad guy is" after he cut her off financially.

Bell also maintained that he was never properly served in the case and further alleged that his signature was forged on legal documents.

As the case continues to unfold, Bell remains adamant about his innocence, while his legal team works to challenge the judgment.
