Tory Lanez made a rare public appearance during a livestream with "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" hosts Gillie and Wallo on Thursday night (March 6), where he previewed tracks from his upcoming album, PETERSON.

During the stream, Lanez acknowledged the difficulty of openly discussing his legal issues but emphasized that he has “free range” to address them through his music. He cited freedom of speech as his protection, using the album to take aim at his former attorney, Shawn Holley, who stepped down shortly before his trial.

Lanez accused Holley of intentionally “losing my bail hearings” and “working for my accuser.” However, Holley refuted these claims in a statement to TMZ last October, saying:

"Mr. Peterson brought these meritless claims to the State Bar over a year ago, and they were summarily rejected. The matter was promptly closed. His actions to publicize this failed effort are likely tied to the appeal of his criminal conviction, for which I wish him well.”

One of the most controversial moments from the album comes on the track “My Shayla,” where Lanez uses an AI-generated voice of Donald Trump, who declares:

"They made him the poster child for unprotecting a Black woman. But the irony of it is, he protected two Black women that night—one from going to jail and one from getting shot. I think it’s time you let that boy back outside."

Lanez also took aim at Roc Nation, Megan Thee Stallion’s label, referencing Megan’s lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz. He raps, Roc Nation coming for Milagro," before adding, "If I was petty, I would countersue, because I got evidence."
