Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez has confirmed the arrest of 24-year-old Adonis Robinson in connection with the tragic shooting deaths of Texas rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter, R'Mani Sibley.

Robinson was taken into custody on Thursday (March 6) in Livingston, Texas—about 75 miles east of Houston—following an operation led by the Texas Rangers and Fort Worth police. Authorities are still searching for 21-year-old Jakobe Russell, who is also wanted in connection with the case.

Both men are believed to be the gunmen who opened fire on Lil Ronnie’s vehicle at Slappy’s Car Wash in Forest Hill on Monday (March 3). According to family members, R’Mani had just been dropped off with her father moments before the shooting.

Speaking on behalf of R’Mani’s mother, family spokesperson Bishop Rodney McIntosh urged those responsible to turn themselves in. "The mother wants everyone to know she is heartbroken and grieving. On behalf of the mother, I would ask them to do the right thing and come forward."

Authorities continue to investigate as they search for Russell.
