Famed YouTuber Kai Cenat brought his high-energy personality to "First Take" on Thursday (March 6), where he went head-to-head with Stephen A. Smith over one of basketball’s most heated debates—LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan.
Kai wasted no time making his stance clear, boldly declaring, "LeBron is better than Jordan!"
The exchange quickly escalated as Kai called out Smith’s bias, saying, "I feel like you’re more of an older generation type of dude; you like Michael Jordan, cool. But listen, every time there’s a debate about Michael Jordan and LeBron James, you always got something to say about LBJ."
Smith, never one to back down, fired back with his signature intensity: "Something is wrong with you right now. Don’t you even think about coming on this show with that kind of—don’t you even think about it!"
Kai doubled down on his argument, pointing out, "Michael Jordan ain’t ever have 50,000 points." But Smith was quick with a rebuttal: "He ain’t play 25 years!"
As the debate continued, Smith addressed what he saw as a generational divide, saying, "This is the problem with young whippersnappers like yourself. We started the show raving about LeBron’s unparalleled greatness. We give him all the credit in the world, and then someone like you comes on the show saying, ‘You hatin’, you hatin’!’ It’s like, wait a minute—you want us to give him a bib and an apron, too? We already acknowledge the man is one of the greatest players ever!"
The segment wrapped up with Kai issuing a final challenge—calling out Smith for a one-on-one game on the court.
