High-profile attorney Joe Tacopina, fresh off a major legal win for A$AP Rocky, recently sat down with The Breakfast Club, where he was asked about Diddy’s ongoing sex trafficking and racketeering case.
Tacopina revealed that he was approached to review Diddy’s case but ultimately declined due to his strong ties to Jay-Z and Roc Nation. He explained:
"I represent Roc Nation; a lot of people there I’m very close with. Jay [Z] and [Roc Nation president] Desiree Perez—who’s just an amazing, powerhouse of a boss—Jay is amazing. Jay Brown, all those people, they’re really special, special people."
While discussing the dynamic between Jay-Z and Diddy, Tacopina made it clear that the two aren't exactly close friends:
"That’s sort of family to me, and I don’t think they see eye to eye with P. Diddy."
Tacopina also addressed speculation surrounding past photos of Jay-Z and Diddy together, dismissing any assumptions about their relationship.
"Everyone wanted a picture with P. Diddy at one time or another when they went to a party. But when things got real, years and years ago..." he trailed off, implying that past associations don’t necessarily reflect current alliances.
