Michael Jordan's son, Marcus Jordan, was arrested for DUI, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest on Tuesday (February 4) morning in Orlando, Florida. He was booked at the Orange County Jail.
According to WESH 2, officers from the Maitland Police Department spotted Marcus' blue Lamborghini on the railroad tracks on Greenwood Road. Officers noted that Marcus' vehicle had damage to the bumper and the tires were buried in the dirt. Police began to get concerned, as a train was approaching, and after speaking to Marcus, he told the officers that he needed help getting his car off the tracks after he "made a wrong turn." Officers then discovered that Marcus' vehicle was seen fleeing from a traffic stop conducted by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.
After approaching Marcus, police noticed he had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol. Jordan later told officers that he had some drinks after visiting "a few venues in Winter Park and Casselberry." They then performed field sobriety tests and Marcus was placed under arrest. Officers pulled a "clear plastic baggie with a white powdery substance" from his pocket, which later tested positive for cocaine.
According to the affidavit, Marcus was not cooperative, as he pulled away from officers who were trying to put him in the squad car. He also reportedly stuck out his leg to stop the officers from closing the door of their car.
On the way to the station, officers reported that Jordan "was singing the entire way to the DUI Center, and his speech was slurred." Marcus reportedly refused a breath sample and was transported to the jail. He was released on Tuesday after posting a $4,000 bond.
