President Donald Trump sat down with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, where he addressed releasing aid for the California wildfires.

During the sit-down, Trump repeated previous claims that California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) could release water from the northern part of the state to combat the fires in the southern part of the state. Trump added, "I don’t think we should give California anything until they let water flow down into their system."

On Monday, Trump signed an executive order to "route more water" from Northern California to Southern California. He is set to travel to the Los Angeles area on Friday (January 24).

While Trump stated that he's unsure if he'll be able to meet with Newsom during his visit, Newsom told KNBC Thursday that he was planning to be on the tarmac when Trump arrives.
