DJ Akademiks has refuted claims by rapper Freddie Gibbs, claiming the latter is just playing around when he suggested filing a lawsuit possibly related to child support. Akademiks expressed that he simply gave Gibbs' former partner a platform to shed light on Gibbs as a father and insisted the feud between them wasn't serious. Akademiks further indicated that he'd rather the two of them sit down to discuss their issues rather than deal with them violently. He argued that their long-standing beef is mostly based on hurting egos and miscommunications and is ultimately insignificant. Vlad chimed in, stating that such aggressive behavior could lead to dire consequences, and cautioned Gibbs against pushing such a volatile agenda.
