Part 2: King Yella on Being Born a GD: We Learn Literature, We Don't Get Jumped in Like LA Gangs

--------

King Yella talked about his troubled upbringing in Chicago, and recounted incidents of his childhood delinquency. He shared that he was first arrested at age 10 for alleged robbery and then at 15, he was charged with grand theft auto. The rapper revealed his first experience with the police happened when he and some friends beat up and robbed others, which led to a chase. At 15, living in Sacramento, he got arrested for stealing cars, more specifically Toyota Camrys, using just a pair of scissors. Yella admits these actions were instances of trying to fit in and look good for others. Besides discussing his criminal history, Vlad also addressed rumors of Yella being attacked with a baseball bat but he remained cryptic about the authenticity of these claims.
