French Montana admitted that he began selling drugs when he was 16 or 17 years old. Gradually, the act of hustling became normalized for him, as it was an omnipresent part of his surroundings, and his peers were engaged in similar activities. He vividly details scenes of violence and crime, likening his reality to the television series 'Snowfall.' He talked about the dangers and uncertainties of life in his neighborhood, forms of which included getting arrested, shot or involved in other criminal activities. Even amidst this tumultuous environment, he highlighted that selling drugs seemed like the only option given the circumstances.
