Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good attended the African American Film Critics Association's Special Achievement Awards luncheon together in Los Angeles. During an interview at the event, they were subtly asked about Majors' recent conviction and upcoming sentencing. Majors responded that they are "doing good" and emphasized their love. Both actors highlighted the importance of celebrating Black entertainers at the event, specifically honoring filmmaker Deon Taylor, whom they consider a mentor and big brother.

Majors, who faced a split verdict conviction in December, expressed gratitude that the jury did not find him intentionally causing injuries but was disappointed about being deemed reckless. Despite the legal challenges, Majors remains hopeful about working as an actor in the future, stating it's subject to "God's plan and God's timing." Sentencing for Majors is scheduled for early next month.
