During his latest episode of his "Collect Call" podcast, Suge Knight spoke about powerful women in the music industry, including Taylor Swift. This led to Suge shouting out other women that he encountered, including Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Whitney Houston, whom he thought carried themselves with great strength.

Around the 17:00-minute mark, Suge spoke about how the industry has double standards, which led him to speak about the Grammys having a "Dr. Dre Global Impact Award." Suge explained that despite Dre being accused of abusing multiple women, he's able to have awards named after him. However, Chris Brown has essentially been blackballed from awards since he's altercation with Rihanna in 2009.

Back in 2015, Dr. Dre penned a statement to the New York Times, where he apologized "to the women I've hurt." The statement read, "Twenty-five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life. However, none of this is an excuse for what I did. I’ve been married for 19 years and every day I’m working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the way. I’m doing everything I can so I never resemble that man again."

He added, "I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives."
