Recently, 50 Cent took to Instagram and posted footage of Terrance Howard speaking about the pay he received for his role in the iconic film ‘Hustle & Flow.’ Howard revealed that he only received $12,000 for his lead role in the film while seemingly being cut out of musical royalties for his performance of songs in the film.
Howard went on to say, “What Paramount did, instead of putting my name as ‘Terrence Howard’ performing the songs, they put ‘performed by Djay.’ Well, they owned Djay. So now I’ve gotta sue Paramount or send them a letter to say, ‘Hey, you guys owe me about 20 years’ worth of residuals and performance royalties.’”
Now, 50 has reacted to the footage while speaking on Taraji P. Henson as well. “This s**t hurt my stomach to hear [Terrance Howard] say this,” said 50.
From there, 50 said, “I need the best actors and I’m gonna pay them. @tarajiphenson you cool with @therealmaryjblige ask her, she got a BIG F**KIN BAG. My young boys @michaelraineyjr, @themekaicurtis, @lilmeechbmf are all making millions.” Take a look above.
