Following some viral comments by Boosie about not being an Andre 3000 fan or ever buying an Outkast album, Yung Joc shared his views with Shawn Prez. Joc shows his admiration for Andre 3000’s experimental move making a flute album. Despite criticisms about the album’s low streaming figures from DJ Vlad, Joc sees this evolution as a new platform for self-expression and potential financial gain. Shawn Prez discusses how the Southern sound from Outkast originally made the northeastern regions reevaluate their acceptance and perspective of Southern music. Despite encountering skepticism from some Southern listeners such as Boosie, Joc sees Andre 3000’s shift towards less traditional forms of expression as refreshing and states it is a continuation of the live instrumentation found in previous Outkast music.
