Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant has expressed that he doesn't believe he deserves a tribute video from the Brooklyn Nets upon his return. Durant, who played 129 regular-season games for the Nets from the 2020-21 season until his trade in the middle of the 2022-23 campaign, cited that he didn't stay with the team long enough or leave a lasting impact to warrant such recognition. "I don't feel like I deserve one," Durant said to Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic. "I didn't feel like I stayed there long enough. I didn't put in enough work. I didn't leave a lasting impact."
Despite making the playoffs with the Nets, Durant's tenure did not reach the same level of success he experienced with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. Durant downplayed the idea of a tribute video, stating that he isn't expecting praise or honor for his time in Brooklyn.
