Recently, the Vogue entertainment director—Sergio Kletnoy, came under fire after he made comments during Nicki Minaj’s Instagram live session that mocked the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Minaj’s rant against Megan found her going on for hours after Megan released her new song “Hiss,” and many people hopped in the comments of the live session. During the session, Kletnoy could be seen saying, “Not ‘fragment foot’ lol, not even a whole foot?” Kletnoy also left a comment featuring a foot emoji, seemingly mocking the Texas rapper’s shooting.
Since then, Kletnoy has faced backlash, which caused him to issue an apology to Megan along with her fans.
Via Instagram, Kletnoy said, “I am a huge music lover and support many artists (especially female artists). Everyone who knows me knows I love Nicki, Megan and so many other musicians. I joined a livestream from one of my fave artists and was excited to hear there's a new song from her. I made comments that unfortunately were taken the wrong way, I never meant to mock or insult anyone and have always been a fan of both women. My apologies if my comments offended or hurt anyone. Xo, S.”
