D'Angelo Russell had a stand-out performance as the Lakers defeated Portland 134-110, scoring 34 points for the night. This comes after Russell was re-inserted into the starting lineup five games ago, where he's been averaging 27.2 points a game while shooting 54% from three, plus 6.4 assists a game.

Lakers coach Darvin Ham commented on Russell's game, telling reporters, "Tonight was one of the most complete games I've seen him play since he's been back in the Laker uniform. He was great on defense, great with his activity, great on and off the ball offensively. He was huge."

Russell also spoke to the media after the game, and he seemed emotional as he stated that he never thought he'd be able to "throw a bounce-pass lob to LeBron James."

LeBron commended Russell for the play, stating, "That move in transition was pretty damn good. Faking the behind-the-back [pass] to me, wrapped it around to himself and laid it up in transition. That was one of our 35 fast-break points. That was dope."
