During an interview, Yasiin Bey was recently asked about Drake’s music and responded by calling the rapper “pop.” Bey also said: “In the sense, like, if I was in Target in Houston, and I heard a Drake song. It feels like a lot of his music is compatible with... shopping. Or, as you know, shopping with an edge in certain instances.”
Drake has now reacted to Bey, using a Method Man quote about hip-hop. Drake took to his Instagram stories and posted a clip of Method Man saying, “Hip Hop is a culture. It’s a way of life, the way you dress, the way you talk, the way you walk. It’s the breakdancing, rhymes, stage show, DJ, mixing and scratching, the wordplay. That’s Hip Hop.”
Also, Drake added a caption for Bey: “What umi say again? Lemme shine my light king don’t change up now 😂.”
