Footage of Playboi Carti's 2022 arrest in Atlanta has surfaced online, and it shows one fan getting the shock of a lifetime after realizing he's standing next to Carti.
The footage, released by the "Raq Rarest" YouTube page, shows Carti being booked on a reckless driving charge after an officer caught him driving 133 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Carti told the officer at the time of the arrest, "I’m rushing because I had an emergency." He added, " It was an emergency. I got stuff going on with my family. I live in Buckhead, I’m trying to get somewhere."
The officer wasn't buying his excuse, and Carti was booked on reckless driving charges. Bodycam footage shows Carti arriving to the jail and being given a face mask and water before he was placed in another holding room. It was at this point that he was in the room with a man, who soon learned Carti's identity and started fanning out. The man could be heard saying that he couldn't believe that he was placed next to his favorite rapper. You can check it out in full above.
