Boosie recently revealed that he walked out on the new The Color Purple movie after realizing that there were gay scenes in the film.

He wrote, "I HAD TO WALK OUT THIS COLOR PURPLE MOVIE ( N TWO OTHER OLDER COUPLES WALKED OUT ALSO.) BECAUSE I HAD MY LITTLE GIRLS WITH ME N IT SEEMED LIKE A LOVE STORY GOOD ACTING BUT WHOEVER WROTE THE SCRIPT IS PUSHING THE NARRATIVE HARD AS A PARENT I WILL NOT LET MY LITTLE GIRL WATCH THIS FILM." 

After receiving backlash, Boosie defended his choice, writing, "WHY IF SOMEONE DOESNT AGREE WITH THE [Gay] NARRATIVE THATS BEING PUSHED WHY DO YALL SAY THAT THE PERSON WHO DOESNT ARGREE IS . THATS BULLYING WE HAVE A RIGHT AS PARENTS TO SAY ITS NOT COOL FOR A 7 N 9 YEAR OLD TO WATCH THIS."

Boosie added, "WE HAVE RIGHTS AS PARENTS TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AS MUCH AS WE CAN .I HAVE NO PROBLEM AT ALL WITH [gay] PEOPLE. MY GRANDAD WAS A PREACHER (SOUTHERN BAPTIST) N IM JUST TRYNA RAISE MY KIDS WITH THE SAME BELIEFS N RESPECT WE WAS RAISED WITH ITS JUST THIS WORLD WILL HAVE U N A FIGHT TO DO SO."

Boosie took to X to speak about going to the new The Color Purple movie, but he adds that he walked out due to gay scenes.

This isn't the first time Boosie has spoken out about his morals when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community. During an interview with The Danza Project, Boosie revealed that he turned down $250,000 to perform at a Pride event. Boosie explained, "I'm not real for money. In that case, I would just sell my soul for anything,"

Boosie added, "I've been offered a quarter-million to go perform at an [LGBTQ] community event. Big money. I told them I have nothing against it at all. But that's not what I push and that's not what I believe in. A lot of people get that [misunderstood] because they act like I hate them. No. My assistant is gay. This man deals with millions of dollars for me. I trust gay people more than regular people."
