During an NBA G-League game on December 2, Chance Comanche allegedly planned a murder, according to an arrest report obtained by 8 News Now Investigators. Comanche, 27, messaged his alleged co-conspirator, Sakari Harnden, stating, "Starting my game. I'll check half time." Twelve days later, Comanche confessed to the murder, and both he and Harnden, 19, now face murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and kidnapping charges in Las Vegas Justice Court.

The victim, Marayna Rodgers, 23, was allegedly involved in prostitution, and her remains were discovered in Henderson. Messages exchanged between Comanche and Harnden on the communication app Telegram detailed plans to kidnap and murder Rodgers. The case initially began as a missing persons investigation, but when detectives found Telegram messages, it was turned over to LVMPD’s Homicide section. Surveillance video, witness statements, and additional evidence linked Comanche and Harnden to the crime.

Comanche admitted to posing as a client, meeting up with Rodgers, and conspiring with Harnden to commit the murder. He is placed in jail without bond and scheduled to appear in court. Harnden also faces a theft charge for stealing a Rolex. She is expected to appear in court.

Former Stockton Kings player, Chance Comanche, was arrested by the FBI and subsequently released from the team recently. This comes as shocking news to basketball enthusiasts and fans alike. The 27-year-old athlete was reportedly booked into the Sacramento County jail, and local deputies were involved in his apprehension. The specific charge Comanche was noted to be kidnapping and it apparently originated outside of California. Comanche is reportedly ineligible for bail, which suggests the seriousness of the allegations against him.

It is important to note that Comanche was originally drafted to play for the Stockton Kings last season. The team, affiliated with the Sacramento Kings in the NBA G League, had high hopes for his potential and had invested time and resources into developing his talent. However, this arrest and subsequent release from the team indicate that his promising career could be in jeopardy.
