Manhattan federal Judge Loretta Preska has ordered a vast unsealing of court documents that will reveal the names of Jeffrey Epstein's associates.

The documents are part of the since-settled defamation lawsuit that Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre brought against Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell back in 2015. When the documents are unsealed on January 1, those referred to as “Jane Does” or “John Does” in various court filings linked to the suit will be revealed. This could include Epstein's victims, co-conspirators and innocent associates.

However, Judge Preska made the release date in advance so those who wish to remain unnamed can stay private, but those who have given public interviews should not remain private. The judge also noted that they will not "disclose sensitive information regarding an alleged minor victim of sexual abuse who has not spoken publicly and who has maintained his or her privacy."
