Update 12/07/2023 3:00pm:

More details are being released surrounding Kodak Black's recent arrest, where he is facing charges of cocaine possession, evidence tampering and improperly stopping, standing or parking.

Early on Thursday (December 7) morning, police say they saw a Bentley SUV with its tail lights on parked where it was blocking the road, leading to them investigating the situation. As they approached the vehicle, police noticed the window was halfway down and the "Super Gremlin" rapper was asleep at the wheel.

Officers also reported smelling marijuana and seeing residue inside of the vehicle, along with a styrofoam cup that smelled of alcohol. When they asked Kodak if he had anything illegal inside, he told them he had some "weed." An officer then claimed they saw a white powder fall from "[Kodak’s] person" and believed he was "trying to discard illegal narcotics."

The officers then reported that Kodak's mouth was covered in white powder and "rock-like substances were scattered on the ground." Kodak reportedly told the officers it was Percocet, but tests later showed that it was cocaine. A  clear baggie containing "a small amount" of the substance was found on Kodak during a police search.

Kodak's  $5,000 bond was posted, but the Miami-Herald reported that he remains in jail as of 2:30 pm EST.

Original 12/07/2023 12:58pm:

Kodak Black is currently behind bars at the Broward County Sheriff's Office after he was arrested on Wednesday for cocaine possession. The rapper was also reportedly charged with tampering with physical evidence and improper stop/stand/park.

Additional details of the arrest have not been disclosed yet, but this marks another encounter with the law for Kodak Black (real name Bill Kapri). In June 2023, an arrest warrant was issued for Kodak Black after he was accused of violating his pre-trial, stemming from a July 2022 arrest over prescription drugs. Kodak was ordered to take routine urine tests but failed to do so, which prompted the visit to court and his subsequent booking. He eventually posed for a new mugshot and was released within an hour. The rapper also had to pay $175,000 to make up the bond difference.

Black is scheduled to appear before a judge Thursday afternoon.
