The LOX's Styles P, and Sheek Louch expressed their desire for more from André 3000 than his instrumental album New Blue Sun. During their appearance on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club (around the 32:55 mark), Styles P and Louch conveyed their wish for André 3000 to return to lyrical content. While discussing Three Stacks' New Blue Sun, Sheek mentioned, “Nah, so much to talk about Dre... Let us know what you been going through.” Styles P suggested André “rap about his travels. He’s one of the greatest to ever do it. He could’ve rapped over the flute beats... It gives different people different perspectives.”

The LOX, like André 3000, are in their forties and have continued their musical journey since their formation in 1994. The group shared their perspective on André 3000's potential return to rap, emphasizing the value of his experiences and unique storytelling. In contrast, André 3000 has expressed disinterest in returning to the stage, stating, "I don't necessarily like looking back... We were just kids, like, trying to see how far we could take it."
