Previously, it was revealed that Casanova’s co-defendants were convicted on RICO charges in the Gorilla Stone case. Since then, Casanova and his legal team filed a motion for a compassionate release.

However, a judge denied the rapper’s request in a federal court ruling. The judge said that Casanova’s sentence was already on the lower end of the recommendation for sentencing and that the rapper asked to be released even though he had served less than 20 percent of his sentence.

The judge also noted that Casanova hasn’t proven he isn’t a danger to his community. Because of that, the judge reportedly upheld the 15-year sentence. Stay tuned for more updates.
